St. Philp's at Brunswick Town
Ceremony Information
8884 St. Philip's Rd, SE
Winnabow, NC

We're tying the knot in the walls of St. Philip's Church at Brunswick Town. The Church was built in the 1700's, however only the walls of the church remain. That means we're getting married outside - So pray for no rain!! During the ceremony, we ask that you please keep both your cell phones and cameras away and off and enjoy this special moment with us. We promise to share all the pictures our photogrphers capture as soon as we get them!
A major pre-Revolutionary port on North Carolina's Cape Fear River, Brunswick Town was razed by British troops in 1776 and never rebuilt. During the Civil War, Fort Anderson was constructed atop the old village site, and served as part of the Cape Fear River defenses below Wilmington before the fall of the Confederacy. Colonial foundations dot the present-day tour trail, which crosses the earthworks of the Confederate fort. Despire everything, the walls of St. Philip's Church have stood the tests of time, weather, and war and still exist today. Sounds like a pretty good place to get married to us!
The Brunswick Town site is a beautiful, historic site. We encourage you to get there early and walk around the grounds prior to the ceremony!
